The purpose statement for Seeds of Revival Ministries is, “Equipping and mobilizing Christians in a fallen culture.” Our logo is two stylized hands in prayer around a stylized seed with a cross in the middle, all made to look like a flame. Together they represent the fire of revival centered on the cross of Christ and bounded by prayers of the body of Christ, all pointed heavenward. The thing about seeds is, in order to fulfill their purpose, they must be planted. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:37-38, “When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.” Revival by definition involves people. Like any other seeds, just as Paul wrote, the seeds of revival are not the body of revival that will be, but just a seed, and God gives the seed a body as He has determined. God definitely has a heart and vision for revival, and Christians are His ambassadors representing His kingdom in this world. In John 12:24, Jesus explains it this way, “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” Jesus is predicting his own death in this passage, but with it something much more profound. His death was necessary for eternal life to be available to “whoever believes in Him.” (John 3:16) Jesus spells out this promise further in John 14:20, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” What could be greater than the miracle of salvation, of a healing, or someone raised from the dead? Millions saved, millions healed, and millions raised from the dead! Seeds of Revival Ministries is all about equipping and mobilizing Christians in a lost culture to become agents of true revival!
